Is the surge in Iraq really working?

General Petraeus the commander of the Multinational Force in Iraq, told the House Armed Services and Foreign Affairs committees when he spoke to them that the surge in Iraq is showing progress, and that he believes troop reductions to pre-surge levels could begin by the summer 2008 without jeopardizing the gains we have made made. And with one of the Democrats’ leading war critics now saying the surge in Iraq is working, it’s difficult to understand why the majority of liberals continue to push HARD an irresponsible and stupid withdrawal plan that was not thought out to the end result and completely jeopardizes critical support and the funding that our wonderful our troops daily need. It is interesting, with the surge in Iraq and the level of American deaths declining daily, that all this is NOW off the front pages BUT WHEN IT WAS THE OPPOSITE IT WAS ALL OVER THE FRONT PAGES!. What do you think? Does the Liberal press like the BLOOD AND GORE of our American troops on the roads of Iraq BUT somehow can't stomach them succeeding at their jobs? Have we been so "Deceived" as a people to believe a media that has constantly LIED AND TWISTED the truth JUST LIKE POLITICAL CRONIES HAVE FOR YEARS? America must wake up to the fact that "Politics" is NOT what America is all about, we're much deeper than that, our heritage is ROOTED DEEP in the struggle for TRUE freedom from oppression but the liberals would have us forget that part of our history in favor of a "Back off and Hide strategy" giving control of the important world issues of peace and independence to a body of people (the U.N.) who elect HOSTILE nations like Libya to head "Human Rights" of all things! It does not take a brain surgeon to see that the world is in danger of falling off it's axis without the continued involvement of the U.S. but it will take smarter and more godly men and women with a personal commitment to REAL peace not "Peace at ANY cost." Now, with the surge in Iraq working, Democrats are completely demoralized...WHY? Because defeat is what they all wanted to prove their talking points, we know the surge in Iraq is working because it is no longer front page news. The military success of the surge in Iraq continues to astound all involved with it and to "Piss off" the left. Jack Murtha (The new "Hanoi Jane") said "There's no way in hell anyone but an absolute kool-aid drinking Bushite dead-ender would believe that the surge in Iraq is working." BUT despite the colorful liberal pleasing words that the left keeps spewing out like "Stomach contents the day after a good drunk" the facts are still true the surge in Iraq is serving its purpose, a well planned military campaign carried out by well seasoned veterans and a force of the BEST trained and most well equipped military in the world.

Iraq

Even the Iraqi bloggers Mohammed and Omar Fadhil, widely respected for their straight talk, say that "early signs are encouraging. Iraqi civilian casualties, which peaked at 3,000 in the month of December 2006, are now below 1,000 for the second straight month, NO death is a good thing BUT LESS DEATH is to be celebrated. IRAQ is a short spit from the Persian Gulf oilfields and choke points, having it stable enables us to surround Iran with Afghanistan. IRAQ previously was at least the #3 sponsor of terror on earth but no longer thanks to our brave men and women. Iraq is a critical front for the jihadis, yet it has a huge population (Kurds and Shia) naturally hostile to them and THIS IS A GOOD THING FOR THE EFFORT. . Iraq's best chance for long-term stability is to develop democratic institutions that will protect the basic civil, political, and human liberties and rights of the Iraqi people, NOT to clone the United States but to advance our love for living in peace with each other, something that liberals don't seem to get.... because Iraqi freedom is bad for the Democratic party for that translates to Bushes win and they cannot have that so FACTS BE DAMMED Iraq is a failure. It's never been about the war, civilian casualties, our troops dieing or even losing the war with liberals IT'S ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT HATING BUSH, talk about shallow political agendas this takes the cake!. Iraq will never be as peaceful as Switzerland any time soon, but there is a chance now. Iraqi security forces continue to grow in number and capability, if slowly. Iraq is not another Vietnam and I'm sick of hearing this OLD REHASHED RETERIC there is NO evidence of this anywhere except when you compare the liberals from then to the liberals of now, they are trying to RELIVE the 60's and 70's again in the eyes of their children...and a pitiful lot they all are. Both friends and foes in Iraq had been convinced, in no small part by the American media, that the United States was preparing to pull out a disinformation campaign to embolden our enemies as they did successfully in Vietnam. It was the Fadhils report that rightly stated, "One difference between this and earlier -- failed -- attempts to secure Baghdad is the willingness of the Iraqi and U.S forces to work together."but the number of security tips about insurgents that Iraqi civilians provide has also jumped sharply over the past months signaling that the people are FED UP with dieing for a LOST CAUSE!. And best news is that the overall number of civilians who died in violence in most Iraqi provinces has generally declined since January. Calculating the numbers of people who die in Iraq is notoriously difficult because there is no transparent or reliable system for tracking and distributing official estimates. However, the reduction in violence in Iraq over the past few months has come about mainly as a result of local initiatives buttressed by extra US troops and cash, while the political divisions at the national level have if anything widened BUT that is the nature of politics even in this country so do we give up America because a few brainless politicians can't pull their heads out and see that life is not as THEY SEE IT but tends to be more optimistic than they have allowed anyone to admit. Violence in Baghdad and Anbar Province is down dramatically, grassroots political movements have begun in the Sunni Arab community, and American and Iraqi forces are clearing al Qaeda fighters and Shiite militias out of long-established bases around the country. Today, Iraq is a different place from what it was six months ago. Many in Washington say the Baghdad Security Plan has just pushed the enemy to other locations in Iraq but as always this is just that stubborn pessimistic talk that liberal can't seem to break out of. "Phantom Thunder" is the largest operation in Iraq since 2003, and a milestone in the counterinsurgency strategy. forces are working systematically throughout central Iraq to secure Baghdad by clearing its rural "belts" and its interior, so that the enemy cannot move from one safe haven to another, and Iraqi forces are thereby attacking enemy strongholds and cutting supply routes all around the city, along which fighters and weapons moved freely in 2006. Their forces are operating east of Baghdad for the first time in years, disrupting al Qaeda's movement between bases on the Tigris and in Sadr City, a frequent target of its car bombs. Even so, commanders are not ignoring the outlying areas of Iraq. forces have killed or captured many important al Qaeda leaders in Mosul recently, and destroyed safe havens throughout northern Iraq. And Iraqi forces have "stepped up" to secure some southern cities. The Eighth Iraqi Army Division has been fighting Shiite militias in Diwaniyah, an important city halfway between Basrah and Baghdad. As commanders stabilize central Iraq, they will undoubtedly conduct successive operations in outlying regions to follow up on their successes and make them lasting. The larger aim of the new strategy is creating an opportunity for Iraq's leaders to negotiate a political settlement. forces have moved in to secure the population alongside their Iraqi partners. As a result, the number of Iraqis recruited for the police forces, in particular, has risen exponentially since 2006. It is as important now as always to remember that the enemy uses suicide bombs, car bombs and brutal executions to break our will and that of our Iraqi allies. I'm not arguing here that there are no problems in Iraq that would be denying the facts like others have done and continue to do BUT open your hearts and your eyes America the towns and cities of Iraq are no longer sanctuaries of terrorists....SORRY BUT THAT'S GOOD NEWS and the past few months have been the most surprising in the entire war saga to date. This reflects a broader reality beyond the liberal mindset to the contrary- as much of the civil warfare that characterized the ENTIRE COUNTRY in 2006 has been suppressed.

Leading Liberal journalists have been reporting for some time that the war was hopeless, a fiasco that could not be salvaged by more troops and a new counter insurgency strategy. The conventional wisdom (i.e. Stupidity) in December held that sending more troops was politically impossible after the anti-war rhetoric of the midterm elections at least that was what liberals hoped was true but were VERY, VERY WRONG in their assessment of BOTH the war and America's resolve. As a result of the surge, "many Baghdadis feel hopeful again about the future, and the fear of civil war is slowly being replaced by optimism that peace might one day return to this city," the Fadhils report stated. They are clearing al Qaeda's car bomb factories from Karmah, northwest of Baghdad, and its sanctuaries toward Lake Tharthar. Yet now the administration's critics, in part as a result, seem unaware of the significant changes taking place (Or is it just unwilling to admit what they can't deny). The media portrait of a beleaguered American war effort was never corrected, and became the consensus view. Only with the appearance of revisionist works such as Lewis Sorley's "A Better War" and Mark Moyar's "Triumph Forsaken" has the record begun to be set straight. The war is not being lost, and their great self created political scandal has become another in a long line of failed lies to push Americans to believe we are the terrorists and the terrorists are simply "misunderstood freedom fighters.". Liberals will not be satisfied until we pay the same price that the Indo-chinese "peace"cost which was nearly twice that of the war itself. As Pelosi and Reid told Bush in a letter recently that they planned to send him new legislation to "limit the US mission in Iraq, begin the phased redeployment of US forces, and bring the war to a responsible (yeh! like liberals know what that means!) end. In any war, it's important to pick the right adversary to fight, and in Iraq we seem to have done just that despite what liberals think.

Petraeus, on whom so much now rests, served two previous tours in Iraq and is a big improvement over his predecessors. He has rightly pointed the finger at Tehran as an explanation for the lack of "progress" in Iraq and this proved to very true. Petraeus noted that foreign and home-grown terrorists, insurgents, militia extremists and criminals all push ethno-sectarian competition toward violence they are the bullies on the block that is certain but General Petraeus told the joint committee he considers it a privilege to lead "America’s next greatest generation" in Iraq. Petraeus put it this way, "The situation in Iraq remains complex, difficult, and sometimes downright frustrating, [but] I also believe that it is possible to achieve our objectives in Iraq over time, though doing so will be neither quick nor easy. He has argued that civilian fatalities climbed over the course of 2006, but fell forty-five percent over the last eight months as surge brigades have arrived in Iraq. But he has not just rolled the new troops out into the field, he has changed the approach from one of clearing and holding territory to clearing and protecting populations. He has also rightly said that," it is too early to issue a final report card on the surge. New practices, including the one in which units now live among the people they are securing, are paying off.". Congratulations are due to Generals Petraeus and Odierno and all members of the United States Armed Forces (and our coalition partners) who are carrying on this task worldwide. As to the more important part of the timing of the surge, if you read the descriptions of what's been happening, you'll see there have been preparatory operations going on since February, but major operations, what Petraeus promised, began on June 19. There is something that West Point tries to drill into every cadet and probably succeeded with Petraeus - Duty, Honor, Country over political gain-sayings and cowardice.

If Americans will simply support the efforts of our sons and daughters in this war 100% without getting political they will be home safe a lot sooner, and we will be safer because of it. If the improvement continues, the biggest losers after Al Qaida are the liberal fascist, the Democrat Congressional leadership (Reid, Pelosi), the Soros supported anti-war machine (Move On. History will show the "surge" has worked well enough to support continuing our operations, but NOT so well that we can begin to pull out the troops. Isn’t it a shame on them that liberal anti-warites just won’t believe anything presented to them that shows progress has been made and is still being made. Political agendas OVER our Troops and Hate Bush OVER FACTS is the WARCRY OF THE SOCIALIST PARTY IN AMERICA and anyone on the side of that is on the WRONG side of History! What I would like to see as a true American traditionalist, is for everyone in this country to just ignore all comments from the apologist Bush supporters and the apologist Liberal supporters alike and GO DOWN THE CENTER WHERE THE REAL FACTS ARE WAITING TO BE SEEN. The proposed Iraqi constitution deserves American support not because Bush says so but simply because we need to remember history when we ourselves were struggling for freedom and a world power called FRANCE came to our aid against the power of England and helped us overcome. The bottom line is simple…Our enemies comments are calculated to fit its audience, The Liberal press!

United we must stand or Divided we will all fall

It could not be comforting to Sadr or al-Qaeda to read in the New York Times that the United States plans to keep higher force levels in Iraq through at least the beginning of 2008. The warning has been laid out for the United States Congress to hear. The time has come for the Liberals and the United Nations to get back in the game of promoting freedom and fighting terrorism instead of blocking all efforts to make the world a better place because it doesn't fit the current agenda of the DNC. Most Americans are sick of political Photo ops and baby kissing Hypocrites making policy in Washington D.C. Most Iraqis are joining the United States in their efforts because they realize how extreme al Qaeda and other militants are. Helping Iraq to become a secure and stable nation in the heart of the Middle East is in the national interest of the United States, That's a NO brainier. We all have much at stake in this conflict, and a pullout now would bring grave consequences: massive sectarian violence, a humanitarian disaster (Which the U.N. is so good at fixing...Right?), and the creation of a failed state that would serve as a springboard for radical Islamic forces to destabilize neighboring states and launch terrorist attacks against a wide variety of targets, including some inside the United States today. The United States must not trade concessions to Iran and Syria in exchange for promises that those counties will never keep because PEACE MEANS NO U.S. AND NO ISRAEL to these moron terrorist's. " Abandoning the Iraqi government before it is able to provide for its own security would leave Iraq, its neighbors, and the United States more vulnerable to al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups than we were before the war, these are FACTS we cannot forget in our head strong opinions. On every front in the war on terror, the United States has cooperated with friends and allies, we've made many mistakes and will more than likely make more BUT understand that NO ONE including these incompetent Liberals who preach defeat are without MISTAKES on a daily basis so what gives them the right to criticize the war when they have failed to present anything BUT total "White Flag Diplomacy"in place of a working war strategy which might be because Liberals haven't run a war before and don't know how? The United States is better off than it was before the war and no 911 attacks have occurred since but that is not to say they cannot occur IF we listen to the wrong voice in November and give control of wartime realities to Peaceniks without a clue!. The world’s two most powerful nations remain united in their determination to deal with the twin global threats of state-sponsored terrorism and the production of the real threat of global destruction. We cannot afford to be diverted from the urgent goal of disarming Iraq by short-sighted efforts to prolong an impossible peace process with "Peace Hating people" that will at ANY COST to human life and Limb carry out KILLING it's own people. When will Americans come to grips with this sad reality? It is a very telling thing in the political process when a military success in Iraq is considered a threat to the Democratic Party nominees but that is what we see and if you can't see that "Take off your Liberal Blinders"and wake up!. Let pretend for a moment here to bring home this picture of the liberal mindset : For a moment think of your house that you and your family live in and your yard as the United States of America and you are the President. Now pretend that the police are the United Nations INSTEAD OF YOUR OWN POLICE the U.S. military.

(How safe is your family? What would you do to protect your family and NO YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY TO CANADA!) WHEN WE PUT THE PRESENT WAR IN THESE PERSONAL TERMS THAN WE CAN UNDERSTAND JUST HOW IMPORTANT THE WAR OUTSIDE THE U.S IS....BETTER THERE THAN HERE! Terrorism springs from a MINDSET that believes the United States allies with the rich but not the poor across the un-democratic Islamic world when the real truth is these Islamic countries are oppressed by their own governments and kept poor while the leadership becomes rich at the expense of the people. Just remember the killing started with Al Qaida and NO AMOUNT OF INSANE BLAME GAME FROM THE LEFT IS GOING TO CHANGE THAT. The United States has set up a front on the war in the middle of Iran and Syria in Iraq. Less than 70 years ago, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was aware of the growing danger presented by the Nazi regime and knew the United States would need to take proactive measures to stop Hitler's war machine which LIBERALS WOULD HAVE OPPOSED THEN AS WELL.. Here's an issue that liberals never seem to get...... there are places in the United States where you are at greater risk than you are serving in Iraq so where were these bleeding hearts when the liberals were in charge and these cities were killing more people than the war...SO MUCH FOR SOCIAL POLITICS. All we need to do is Imagine the outcome if America was truly united WITHOUT POLITICAL AGENDAS. You know what it would be like? The American Revolution when we united under one thing...... "FREEDOM FROM TYRANY".

The Evidence is as clear as CRYISTAL, the only problem is it's is seen through many different FASETS and must be understood as a whole picture of the facts NOT as liberals like to show it...AS PARTS ALL MIXED UP!

And though it is still early and horrible acts of violence continue AT TIMES, there is substantial evidence that the new counter insurgency strategy, backed by the infusion of new forces, is having a significant long term effect. Liberals hysterically opposed our imposing a democracy on Iraq and despise Nouri al-Maliki, the democratically elected leader of Iraq (Sounds familiar they also HATE OUR DEMOCRATICLY ELECTED LEADER!) During the mid-70s, American liberals held political control to an extent they had not experienced since the heyday of FDR. (The price tag for this, which liberals don't care to bring up, was over 2 million dead in Cambodia, 165,000 dead in Vietnam, another 200,000 plus drowned and murdered on the high seas during the exodus of the boat people. But in Iraq, liberals prefer an anti-American dictator, like Saddam Hussein. Only in Pakistan do liberals yearn for pure democracy. The last time liberals were this enthusiastic about popular rule in some Third World country was in 1979, when they were gushing about Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in Iran. To deny the facts is nothing more than to try to appeal to the liberal base and tell them what they want to hear. This is the difference between practical politics and constantly appeasing the liberal base with every word. I do not know a single liberal who is aware of this overwhelmingly obvious reality they live in a dream world. Defend liberal agendas at any cost attitudes prevail amoug Dem's, which means that they are missing the forest for the trees. Have all the Liberals out there lost their collective minds (Maybe from all that Pot Smoking in the 60's & 70's) to think and act as though we could talk to these delusional Muslim exstreamists and they will say "O.K. we give up we'll let Israel be a nation and allow you Americans to live in peace...Thanks for the talk". PLEASE GET A GRIP ON REALITY PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT A FANTASY STORY WHERE THE OUTCOME IS MAGICAL BY WAVING A WAND! Despite what the liberal media portrays, the surge is working, better than exspected. Though these good reports are by no means the only reports out there, it sure would be nice to hear as much about them as the negative sounding boards we are subjected too daily more of them run on our more liberal news networks and in the newspapers nation wide.

Politicians need a reality check of the highest kind and hopefully NOT AT OUR EXPENCE!

In Washington today, politicians too often just stand their personal ground instead of thinking of the countries collective ground, THIS IS THE UNITED STATES NOT AN INDIVIDUAL AGENDA, we are in this TOGETHER like or not.. Let's answer this sillyness by creating an independent political movement of both parties, a movement that will not elect fat-cat politicians who only care for themselves and not the WHOLE COUNTRY. It is obvious that the politicians in Congress have become discredited just look at their approval rating, it's even lower than Bush’s ever was because they haven’t voted TO UNITE THE COUNTRY BUT RATHER INCREASED THE PARTISON POLITICS. Comments about CUTTING & RUNNING come from two sources, leftists that want to promote yet another "Big Lie" to cover their last one and the politicians BOTH in and out of uniform looking for more money for their little empires. These people are as DISHONEST with the facts of the war as Bill was with the meaning of the word "Sex". Finally, in Vietnam, the biggest error we committed was to let the politicians attempt to manage the war from Washington, rather than letting the commanders in the field who know more than ANY ONE IN GOVERNMENT, set the battle strategy. The military succeeded in everything it did, and that it was the politicians who caused defeat in Vietnam just as they are trying to do in this war, WE CANNOT turn a blind eye to this any longer we must fight it at the Ballot Box in November 2008. The media and the politicians all have their own agendas it's time that the American people got their own agenda, that of GETTING THESE ANTI-AMERICAN PEOPLE OUT OF OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and it's in no way an impossible mission given what the media is doing to our fine fighting force on a daily basis. My vote will not be wasted this time around, I'm voting from the heart of the true facts and I'm never going to listen to the media again. The person who will get my vote is the one who will stand for the America I read about in the History Books NOT THE ANTI-AMERICA THAT THE LIBERALS ARE CREATING!
